Ground Fault Circuit Interrupters (GFCI)
There are many common problems regarding GFCI—often referred to as GFIs—receptacles in a homeowner’s house. GFCI receptacles have a test and reset button on them. If the GFCI is not working, try pushing the reset button to see if it comes back on. If it does not reset, the breaker may be off, or the GFCI needs to be replaced. It is recommended that GFCIs be tested monthly.
