I was shocked with his estimate of 4 hours labor, at $175 an hour for $700, $200 for parts. Total estimate of $900.
He said the estimate was for the job and it didn't matter how long it took and if the other guy showed up. Total time at my house was 2 1/2 hours. Actual time working was about an hour. I went to Ace and picked up the parts for less than $30.
I complained to main office and they reduced the charge to $405.
My recommendation is not to use GODBY electrical.”
