Taking the Right Steps to Ensure your Safety
At this chaotic time, we could all use a little reassurance. Godby wants you to know that we are committed to everyone’s health, safety, and comfort. Godby Heating Plumbing Electrical is considered an essential business and is able to service your regular maintenance and emergency service needs. Due to the outbreak of COVID-19 (the Coronavirus), Godby’s procedures have changed to ensure everyone’s safety while still being able to safely take care of our customer’s needs.
First, there is limited access to our building. All staff is working remotely except a barebones crew needed on site to keep our business functioning. No outside vendors, field personnel or visitors are permitted.
We instituted a mandatory safety checklist for our team members in the field. We will always follow the CDC and WHO guidelines. We require that all team members clean and sanitize all work surfaces and work tools after use. We are screening both customers and our teammates for symptoms and risk of exposure. We ask, should you have any symptoms of being sick, please call Godby and we will be happy to reschedule your appointment.
As washing your hands is a top priority to combat the spread of this virus, Godby has installed mobile hand washing stations in every van. Team members are required to wash their hands before entering your home but can also use the hand washing station throughout their day, as needed. We still require all team members to wear shoe covers, but our team members will also wear gloves and masks before entering your home. Our team members must wipe down and properly sanitize any equipment or work surface which has been touched during service.
